Sarah Curtis, Au.D. graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2010 with her Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) and a concentration in aural rehabilitation. She obtained internship opportunities in the Knox County Public Schools, Tennessee School for the Deaf, Perkins School for the Blind, and the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Following graduation worked for Central Florida Speech and Hearing Center (Lakeland, FL), University Hospitals (Cleveland, OH) and CVS.
In early 2018, Dr. Curtis decided to open her own private practice with the goal of providing excellent hearing healthcare services to patients of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds in Northeast Ohio. Sounds of Life Hearing Center, LLC opened in October 2018 and, as Dr. Curtis will confirm, was one of the best decisions of her life.
Dr. Curtis is a native of Painesville and Mentor, Ohio. She is a Mentor High graduate and obtained her B.A. in Psychology from Youngstown State University (Go Penguins!). Her wonderful husband is Daniel (who built this awesome website) and they chase their kids (Zach and Ellie), two dogs, and two cats around for fun. She is a lover of music, yummy food, Disney (and Disney World), docuseries based on veterinarian clinics and zoos, and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Cara Donovan, Au.D.
Cara Donovan, Au.D. graduated from the University of Akron as part of the Northeast Ohio Audiology Consortium (NOAC) with her Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) in May 2020 after completing a very challenging externship with the Cleveland Clinic. Additionally, she obtained internship opportunities at Akron Children’s Hospital and the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. She came to Sounds of Life Hearing Center on very high recommendation and has proven to be a wonderful fit for our patients both with her talents and her spirit.
Dr. Donovan is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. She graduated from North Central High School and continued her undergraduate education at Butler University (GO DAWGS!) where she majored in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a concentration in mild intervention for those with special needs. Dr. Donovan has a strong passion to serve and support others! In high school she organized a Prom Closet for those who could not afford to buy new dress. She loves basketball and baseball (Go Tribe!) and cannot go a day without coffee. She will eat anything sweet but doesn’t like ice cream (Dr. Curtis didn’t hold that against her)! She is also a cat mother to her cute and loving kitty, Walter. In addition, Dr. Donovan has a loving family and is able to see them often! She is very excited to continue showing them all the wonderful parts of Northeast Ohio!
